Weigh-in, 4th of july fun and fireworks.

Did you all miss me? I was busy this whole week/weekend and didn't have time to blog. I am back in action though. Well, where do I start. After having a not so great weekend 2 weeks ago, I stepped on the scale confident that I lost weight. To my surprise, I supposedly gain 2 pounds. hmmm. It's weird because I look at myself and I don't think I weigh as much as I do. Other people I know have asked me about my weight loss and they ask, "Well, what do you weigh now?" and I reply "About 195". They look at me like I am crazy. They don't believe that I weigh that much. It's awesome but in a way, I always know that I weigh more. I didn't let the weigh- in kill my mood. Our Town had there picnik and parade on saturday and my dad runs the parade. My mom, sister and I went down early for the parade. It was good seeing all the little kids on there bikes and scooters throwing out candy. It made me remember those days when I was little.

After the parade was over we met up with my 2 brothers, a friend of theirs and my dad. We all decided to take a swing at marshmallow golf. For all of you who don't know what that is, instead of swinging at a golf ball you swing at a marshmallow and see how far it goes. It's harder then it looks-if your bored go try it. I did that for about 45 mins until the mother of all competitions was announced. The coveted egg toss. It's for people 18 yrs or older. My sister and I were partners- basically you throw an egg at each other and if your egg cracks your out. The two last teams standing wins. Guess, what everyone- My sister and I took 2nd place! About time we took home some hard ware from this competition.

This is my sister and I kissing our lucky egg :)

The hardware we got for taking 2nd place- yeah buddy!

After all the fun and the picnic was over we went back to the house. My dad and I just laid in the pool soaking up some sun. It was really hot that day which was nice for me because it was the first time I got to lay out so far this summer. We were in the pool until about 3 o'clock and then at about 5 o'clock we started grilling. I grilled some chicken and put some onions and red bell peppers on the grill also. It was delicious. That night I ended up going to bed at 9 o'clock. Yeah- I kid you not. I felt like I was 80 years old. But I needed the sleep.

I woke up on sunday around 7:30. I made breakfast and worked out early. My friends, heebs, sydney and becky came over to swim/tan. At about 3 we noticed how burnt we really were and got out of the pool. Sydney and becky left for Summerfest in Milwaukee while me and heebs went to her house to make homemade pizza's. They turned out really good. We were at Heebs house waiting for 2 other girls to come over so we could go see fireworks.

The fireworks were at the Waukesha Expo Center in Waukesha, WI. It was the first time I had gone to this one and I was excited to see how they compared to other fireworks. We got there early so we could get good seats
Here's the crew, Me, Ash, Becca and Heebs. Classy lookin girls.

My and my girl Heebs- Love her!

Me and Ash :)

At 9:30 they started the fireworks...

The fireworks were great. Overall, my 4th of July weekend was awesome! I got to spend time with my friends and family that I love. I'm hoping to get back on to losing weight. I don't know if I am gaining some muscle or what- But I am confident that I will get through this. Hope everyone had a great 4th!

  1. Molly, great pictures! Looks like you had lots of fun! :)

Remember, the scale is just a hunk of metal that only gives you a snapshot at that particular time. It doesn't tell you how many inches you've lost, the clothing size you are in or the muscle mass you are building. I'm sure you're losing, but the scale may not have caught up yet. :)

  2. That's what I was thinking- the scale needs to catch the EFF up. Cuz I seriously think I don't weigh what it tells me. Thanks for the encouragement :)
