W-I

I weighed in this morning and I didn't lose or gain anything. So I am still at 192.8 Lbs. Yes it does suck but the weekend could have been better food wise. I know I need to push myself a little bit harder at the gym.

I also think I may not be eating enough some days. So here is to next week and hopefully a smaller number on the scale.

Let the Couch to 5k Training Begin!

I thought I would be able to post something every day on here, but with my schedule I don't think that will happen. So forgive me father, for I have sinned... I will try to post when I can.

Yesterday my Best friend, Andi wanted to start the couch to 5k training for our Color Run in August. The weather here in WI is still cold and snow is on the ground but it was actually kind of nice outside or as nice as it could be for being 35 degrees. I met her at a local park that is great for running, especially for beginners and we started the training.

Andi had a couch to 5k app on her phone and it legit told us to jog and when to walk briskly. While doing the training, we were coming up with a million dollar idea, that uses hot, sexy man voices to encourage you to run. Kind of like the Ryan Gosling Meme's "Hey girl, start jogging". Or "Hey girl, slow it down and walk". And of course I wanted a Vin Diesel one, because that mans voice could get me to do anything  exercise. But yes, this is why she is my best friend.

The training in general was fun. We laughed, we talked about goals, we almost got eaten by ducks and large pools of melted snow and trying not to slip on the black ice. It was great to spending time with Andi because she is in law school and I am getting ready to graduating this semester, our schedules are hectic so I don't get to spend as much time with her as I used to.

Running Buddies!

After our awesome training, we decided to meet our other friend Sydney at a new Fro-Yo place that opened up in downtown Waukesha. Its called Berry Me. I want to berry the person who invented fro-yo btw. This was my concoction; Angel food cake, pistachio and cake batter fro-yo with strawberry balls that burst in your mouth. (Yep, I did just write that.) You jelly, Bro?

Yes, I will Berry You.

This was on the wall were we sat.

We sat and chatted for a good 2 hours. Then we parted our separate ways because we had to get home and watch the Oscars. Did not see Life of Pi winning so many categories but I am so glad Jennifer Lawrence won and tripped going up the stairs. She's a boss.

But all in all, it was a good, healthy and yummy Sunday funday.
See you crazy kids again!

The Official Starting Line

I stepped on the scale this morning for the first time in 5 months...

I weighed in at 192.8

I was kind of shocked. I've gained about 7 lbs since this summer. Not too big of a deal. I thought I would have been in the upper 90's. But that also shows how awesome I have been at eating decently and working out.

So, from now on I will weigh-in on Thursday mornings. I feel like that is the best day for me to do so.

One other thing I wanted to tell you guys about, is that I am finally doing a Color Run in Milwaukee!

My best friend, Andi, asked me a couple days ago if I wanted to do it with a couple of her law school friends and I literally screamed yes. I know a lot of people who have done it and they say it was a blast.

The run is a 5k and at each kilometer, volunteers throw specific colors at you as you run past them. Talk about having a sweet job for a race. (Sorry water people, your job is vital as well but clearly not as fun.) Basically by the time you enter the finish line, you will be full of yellow, orange, pink and blue colors. The cool thing about this race is that you can be of any age, a beginning runner, walker or a pro. It's made for everyone.

Color Run finishers.

That's all I got for you today. Thanks for stopping by and see ya soon!

Day 3

I'm at day 3 of my re-boot to losing weight. I feel pretty good! I think I may weigh myself tomorrow to see where I am at but I am pretty sure I weigh around 195 lbs. I have a love-hate relationship with the scale. Yes, it is a good way at measuring progress, but it is NOT the only way.

I remember I would weigh myself multiple times a day when I first started losing weight  DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU. I ended up going crazy. I would gain weight throughout the day at times and freak out. Weigh yourself once a week and put that sucker away.

Don't stress if you gain some weight or lose only .8 lbs in a week. Your body is changing. Be patient.

A Continuous Struggle. But Back at it Again.

So from the looks of things, I gave up around September of last year at blogging. Why? Because I wasn't losing weight and felt like I was writing you guys the same thing over and over. I haven't gained a substantial amount of weight. Maybe 8 pounds at the most, which is nothing to go crazy about but as I come closer to graduating this May, I need to be in the best shape for my physical test to become a police officer.

I got down to 185 pounds last summer but when I started working at my new job, it was hard to resist the temptations that are all around me. Candy, popcorn, burgers, fries, cheese-curds, ice-cream, you name it. I can say proudly though, that I have brought a bag lunch almost every day to work.

So why am I back to blogging. Well, I missed you guys. Plain and simple.

I also want to lose weight again. I feel I need to lose about another 20 to help me perform better for my physical test.

I am not just focusing on losing weight, but also building muscle and eating better. I know I generally eat well but I could definitely turn it up a notch.

Another reason is because I have become a fan of this seasons Biggest Loser. I tweet with some of the contestants every week and follow Jeff Nichols on Instagram. ( he likes a lot of my pics ;) I also have become a hug fan of Alan and Nathan. Both of these guys I follow on Twitter/Instagram and Facebook. They have both been awesome to follow. Alan is kicking ass with his weight loss and he has some great recipes to share. And Nathan just ran a freakin half marathon. I envy him, but some day my time will come.

So there you have it ladies and gents. I am back, again, and I am excited to start losing weight again.
