Resting.

For months and months I have been working out 5-6 days a week. I have been working out for 1-2 hrs depending if I need to lift and I think that toll has caught up with my body. Throw in standing and moving on my feet for 7+ hours at work and that equation equals physically and mentally drained Fluffygirl.

I have decided to take sort of a vacation week. I need to give my body a rest from all the pounding I have been doing to it for months and months. I was getting to the point where I no longer enjoyed working out, I felt as though it was a chore. I am thinking of possibly not working out on the weekends or doing not so strenuous activity on the weekends. I need to mix things up because I am kind of getting bored of the same old same old.

Do you work out on the weekends? What are some fun non strenuous activities to burn calories that you do?

I know how you feel, Bro.

  2. My rest days are usually Thursdays. I used to just take the day off completely, but I really like doing something 7 days a week. So I've been trying to have active rest days where I will either do yoga or just go on like a 20 minute walk in the park with my kids. Bottom line, you need to listen to your body and do what it's telling you to do.

  3. On the weekends, I normally go hiking or try a new class at the gym that I haven't been to before.

  5. Depending on how much I worked out during the week, I may or may not work out on the weekends. Sunday is always my Rest Day. You definitely deserve a rest. What you're putting in is still manifesting itself in the flesh. You won't lose that progress on days you don't workout, since you're applying yourself.

Have you ever thought of trying that "Insanity Workout" with Shaun T? You sound like you will kill it in that.

    Rest well

  7. smart move, Fluffster. I remember cutting back on workouts around the holidays one year. If was a great break (for body AND mind) and I still lost weight. Keep that body guessing girl! Even if it means surprising it with a break. ;)

  10. Hi Molly!
    I'm impressed by your results!!
    me?
One month ago I was 259 pounds.
Then I gave birth to a little 8 pound baby,
and in just a few days I was down to 235pounds
I'm not going to start loosing weight actively before I'm done breastfeeding, but I will be following in your footsteps once baby has got his part.
-and sure I can start living healthier even if I don't go on a diet - that will be good for both me and the baby.
I got 2 bigger kids, and I need to be healthy to keep up with 3kids and a super husband, so thanx a lot for the inspiration! I'm definately gonna be "skinny like you" some day! (no offence ;) )
